About Josh
Josh started his career rebuilding communities in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, where he witnessed the transformational power of philanthropy. Since then, Josh has dedicated his career to helping organizations grow their revenue, relationships, and impact.
Josh has served on both sides of the funding table, in chief development officer roles for organizations with local and national footprints and as the appointed Director of Workforce Development for the State of Louisiana’s Department of Children & Family Services. He has led fundraising and community-building programs that span the continuum of human development, from K12 to higher education and workforce development. He is an AmeriCorps VISTA alumnus and has served in leadership positions on numerous boards of directors.
Josh graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Tulane University. He completed graduate courses in management at the Catholic University of America and leadership training with researchers affiliated with the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
Proven Results
Raised $5M in less than two years, preventing a workforce development agency from closing and securing more than 30 social worker and instructor jobs that continue to provide critical services and job training to more than 500 young people annually.
Restructured Louisiana’s federally-funded workforce development programs by recruiting new state leadership and leveraging a private-public coalition of support, which resulted in expanding the network of providers from 12 to 42 and grew grant making from $1.8M to $8.3M+ annually with additional one-time investments of $22M.
Launched a board recruitment program, which garnered $1.2M in support in seven months at a regional university.
